A soirée of artistic elegance with a live painting demonstration Friday, March 8th, from 4:30 to 7 pm. Celebrating local artists, local Exeter scenes ...with bevs and light bites. Tickets $15.
Join us for an unforgettable celebration of our community's vibrant art scene, showcasing the talents of our local artists. Where every drop of paint, every taste, and every brushstroke tells a story.
Guests are invited to indulge their senses by watching original art being created, sharing conversation and wandering the studios with beverages & delectable tastes curated by Jackie Bradley.
This event is a floating experience. Guests are invited to come and go at their leisure between 4:30 and 7 pm. All five studios and the front gallery will be open for viewing the works of resident studio artists Anne Kenny, Ree Katrak, Shannon Hays, Gaby Grossman and Rose Bryant.
The live painting experience, by gallery owner Rose Bryant, will consist of several works in progress on the easel of both the Squamscott River (along beautiful Swasey Parkway) and the Exeter River (through downtown)...some of the most beloved local Exeter landmarks.
Rose's paintings are vibrant, predominantly abstract but also border on representational. At the event she will paint, or have in-progress, multiple semi-abstract paintings. Bryant says "I love creating art with saturated colors that evoke emotion. Color is so powerful. This particular series, representing river areas in Exeter, is inspired by photographs from friends. This process of using imagery from friends makes the connection to “the place” and the art that much more special."
Bringing an easy laid-back flow to the event, is Jackie Bradley, a certified California wine specialist. She will be sharing her knowledge of Napa and Sonoma Valley wines along with delicious small bites, adding a touch of West Coast energy to the evening.
The gallery, located at 120 Front Street in the Uptown "West Ex" area, has plenty of free parking on-street and in the back parking lot directly behind Art Up Front Street Gallery.
Tickets for this casual-elegance painting demonstration are $15 and can be purchased HERE. Join us for a lovely enchanting celebration of art, culture, and community.
